Walking through a maze of colors that radiated out through the limits of infinity, I was standing at the door of life and death.

I remember the image of the door so clearly, there were a set hands that extended down from clouds, welcoming me to proceed to the next step. What is the next step? Where are we ultimately headed? Is this the end or the beginning? So many questions, and the answers were now clearer than they have been before. I had completed the cycle of death and rebirth, I was now standing At The Door.

This life presents so many challenges on a daily basis like bills, kids, marriage, tuition, friendship, ego and personal growth. Why do we encounter these challenges on a daily basis, what is the meaning to life? As I stood at the door, I felt the answer fill me with the warmth of knowing, personal evolution from one generation to the next is the lesson we are meant to learn in this lifetime. We are here to grow, we are here to strive to become better people. Once you are able to complete that cycle of growth, learning those lessons you were meant to learn, then you will move onto that next step by departing this world.

My lesson that I was confronted with was not an easy one to hear. I actually was sad for a few days after learning my purpose, but then I changed the way I perceived the lesson. I could have wallowed in self pity or I could take that lesson and begin to raise my awareness towards ways to complete it. I think it is something very personal that you are meant to learn and wish you the best of luck discovering your ticket to the door.
