I wanted to write a quick note to thank everyone for the best six months of my life. This has truly been an amazing journey up to this point.

We just got done wrapping up our last Phish Contest, Part 2, where Christopher L won the ticket to see Phish on Friday night down at Hampton. He selected St. Jude as his charity of choice from the contest. When I called Christopher, he had yet to see the drawing and he immediately asked if he won. I told him I was reaching out to everyone to let them know the drawing had taken place and he could view the video to see if he was the winner.

A few minutes later he called me back with such a positive energy that it reminded me about the purpose of this whole raffle. The energy, the friends we have made and the positive impact we have left in so many different ways. As happy as I was , I also had immediate feelings of sadness. I got to know allot of the people that entered the two contests and become very friendly with them. One feeling resonated in me, I wish everyone could have won, I wish everyone was going get in to see Phish. So here I stand, torn between two extreme emotions, happiness for two people and sadness for 98 others.

So to offset the sadness, I find it only fair that I don't go into see Phish. A few of you's have declare me to be insane by this decision, but this is the only way I see to make myself feel better. To release the negative feeling I have about 98 friends not going to see Phish, I will not be using that ticket I have to Sunday Night. I will be giving away my Sunday ticket and sitting outside the venue trying to hear some music just like some of you my friends. I find it only fair that one individual that loves Phish receive that ticket as a gift. An offering from me to you, a gift of music and community. Lerner, you asked me for the ticket everyday since you knew I had it. Only that type of persistence could be driven by a love for the music, you have my Sunday if you don't have one.

Even though I won't be going into see the music, I will still be down in Hamptons. I will be there to meet up with friends, drink beers and put some faces to the names I have come to know. Three tickets come and gone and hopefully three smiles that resonate into the community.

Peace & Blessings

DT
