As I prepare to leave for the Hamptons, I hear so many people question how this community will come back together after years apart. Will things be as they left off or will they return to those days of beauty and innocence that we all loved?

Most Phish fans have since returned to mainstream society with regular jobs, kids and traditional roles since the tour days ended. As these responsibilities weigh heavy on their plate, the community will come back together magnificent as it once was, but different. There will be a new generation replacing the children that since left to form their own families. This community will form as a new family, with some old faces rejoining, but so many new ones.

As this new generation looks to be the adhesive of the community, people question how it will come together. Will things return to the darker days of mistrust and misgivings? Will we evolve back into that beautiful combination that once existed with pure intentions and kindness? 

I see this journey we prepare for as a place where people gather and a community is reborn. Many people will come with the intention of helping one another when in need. Some come with motives less than ideal to form a loving caring community. The responsibility falls on all of our shoulders to show the way to those misguided.

Lead by example by showing your love, compassion and kindness to one another and things will come together as they should. One big happy family that cares for one another, brothers and sisters looking out for one another, energy that resonates throughout the world.
