After going to a few music festivals, I started to get frustrated by the lack of stores specifically offering things to the music festival community. So, I decided to build a store called festival camping to serve that exact problem.  Hope it has everything you are looking for before you head out to your next summer music festival.

So after a long summer of traveling around, the Dead Tour to music festival to music festival, I am starting to gain balance and become centered again. Their is so much chaos in that lifestyle that it can really throw you for a loop. Don't get me wrong, it is a lot of fun, however, there is so many different types of energy that it can really can effect your energy. This can be good and bad. So as I regain my balance to me, it is almost time to lose my game. Before I make that difficult journey, I must be balanced like I have never been before.

So what is it to lose the game? 

It is me stripped down the bare necessities, food, water, safety, and shelter. There is nothing else but me. There is no game to distract me from me. Let the journey of stripping me down to me begin when my soul is ready for the challenge. I will go deeper into me than I have ever before. I hope to be ready soon for this amazing journey that will take place.

As we stretch our minds from their current levels into the infinite realms of eternity, we must ask ourselves...What Are We Learning? If we are not learning from these endeavors, then we are just partying and having a good time. There is a time and place for that, I have been there. At some point though, it becomes about something more, something more meaningful.

The Sun is Rising With the Folks at Phan Phest!

A few weeks before the Hampton shows,  I was networking on a few message boards to advocate the contests and ticket giveaways we were doing on Doctortrip.com and FestivalFamily.com. I had the pleasure of being introduced to many new friends, however, two people that radically changed me forever.

As I prepare to leave for the Hamptons, I hear so many people question how this community will come back together after years apart. Will things be as they left off or will they return to those days of beauty and innocence that we all loved?

I wanted to write a quick note to thank everyone for the best six months of my life. This has truly been an amazing journey up to this point.

I have always wondered what is it about Bluegrass that no matter what is going on in my life I can't help but smile when I hear that Twang?

Thanks Greg for turning me on to these guys, made my days blend together. A must listen too!

This week I am putting out a new band that I was just introduced too earlier this week and quickly grabbed my attention with some of their funky jams.

I was stepping out of my normal musical comfort and trying some new styles of music at the STS9 show at The Note.

I wish I could claim fame for the idea, it actually came from an email I received from my subscription to Zen Habits. The idea he was promoting was very simple and effective for change in your life and your community. Everyday you wake up, write down on a piece of paper one thing you want to do for someone else to make their day better. For example, I have been really busy working on a few new projects and have neglected my responsibilities around the house. In turn, my wife has had to pickup the slack, adding to her list of responsibilities. So today I will walk away from my normal schedule and do a few things around the house that she traditionally carries the burden of doing. The end goal is to positively impact her and the community of the household, I would not be surprised if that comes full circle at some point.

I think my body was starting to go through complete withdraw from not getting out to see a show in a few weeks, my prayer were answered at the Mexicali Blues Cafe by a decent show put on by Tea Leaf Green.

Walking through a maze of colors that radiated out through the limits of infinity, I was standing at the door of life and death.

Trips Picks 12 features Toubab Krewe live at The Ark 2008-03-26. I had not heard much of these guys until a fellow Jambaser turned me on to them.

This year I vowed to make 2009 a year where I focused on my physical health more than I have in the past. I searched the Internet for a bit to find out what I could do to be a little bit healthier and here is what my search yielded.

This week I figured I would mix it up a little bit and put something out there with a little more funk and energy for your ears.

I have been looking around the web for the last weeks for some decent photos of some of my favorite jamband artists and came across Performance Impressions.

My wife is one of the most talented artists that I know. Unfortunately, she won't sell me any of her work to sell to you guys. I wanted to take a minute to share one of her most recent creations she put together.

I recently received an E-Mail from one of my friends directing me to a great site, Dr. Schluss' Garage Of Psychedelic Obscurities. I found myself looking through the rich Psychedelic content and before I realized how much time had passed on an hour had gone by. You will find a wonderful selection of music reviews, psychedelic art and just some trippy stuff. Take some time and check it out, you will not be disappointed.

The night had so many expectations, maybe that's where the failure started.

To welcome in the New Year I wanted to drop one of my all time favorites in your ears.

So here I am just returning my my magical journey into a world that I knew existed but had yet to discover me.

We are running a contest, back by popular demand, for another Ticket for Friday March 6th 2009 at Hampton Colosium in Virgina. 

This was a night filled with sensuality and a feeling of universal connection in the air, the epitome of psychedelic. 

I came across this show cruising across Archive.org. I never heard of On the One before and was blown away by their sound.

So after two months, we have finally come to the end of the contest and have a winner!!!

This was a special night for me as it was the end of the fall tour for me, I was getting off the bus at this show.

I wanted to take a moment to give a biography on Dawn, she runs Soul Candy Jewelry. Dawn makes alot of the Jewelry we are honored to host on Doctortrip.com. This is a little background about her and her style of work she provides for us.

This weeks Trip's Picks features a band called Home Groan. Some of the best Jams coming from guys you probably never heard of before today.

The band offered up an amazing setlist from 07/07/1978 show at The Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

This edition of Trip's Picks features Netwerk Electric, a style of jazz fusion and space funk.

Besides the day I married my beautiful wife and the day each of my children were born, this was one of the greatest days of my life.

First, I want to thank everyone for responding to my post on here, I really appreciate your kind words and help in understanding the how's and why's of the situation.

My hope was to be writing a review about the show tonight, but rather it is a story of forgiveness and energy.

Here is the latest installment of Trips Picks. This is a show that I was fortunate enough to be present, Yonder Mountain String Band with Jon Fishman on 10/10/2008 at The Nokia in NYC.

Barefoot and sweaty, " So the kids they dance, they shake their bones", a night with an unbelievable setlist and delivery.

Charged and ready to go, Ratdog built through the night with a momentum that surely is going to carry in the Halloween.

The Electric Factory hosted another great show this weekend with Trey Anastasio winding up his Fall Tour.

I will headed out to the great city of Philadelphia on 10/24/08 to see Trey at The Electric Factory. Show details can be found at Jambase. I look forward to seeing you all there!

I have to say, this is probably one of the best shows I have come across in a long time.

I travelled in NYC with heavy expectations, Trey Anastasio is probably one of the best guitarists out on the scene.

This was a journey that was to be nostalgic of tours and shows from years ago, however, there were some small differences from then to now.

The night was filled with twangy tasty jams that simply had me living with nothing but smiles.

Here is the third instalment of Trips Picks. Since I had an opportunity to see Perpetual Groove last week I wanted to give everyone a little exposure to their work.

The night started off just as most shows do, traveling withanticipation for what the night is going to bring. 

I wll be going to the Bryce Jordan Center in PA on 10/13 to see The Dead. I look forward to sharing in some great energy. See ya then.

Another Journey down to Maryland, but I had an opportunity to check out a new venue.

A new show has been added to the Doctor's Journey. Yonder is in the target for Saturday night.I really have to thank the universe for putting such a sweet setup for me. I get to go see shows are just a pure source of inspiration for me. Thank you everyone for your support to keeping this Journey going.
